For TikTok’s LiveFest, we partnered with an agency to create a series of social videos featuring creators from multiple regions and languages. The project moved fast, with tight turnaround times, strict brand guidelines, and the added challenge of creating content designed specifically for social. We had to move seamlessly between motion design and VFX, often turning around creative quickly as new footage and requirements came in.

The production was built around two parallel workflows. While creators were being filmed, we developed the motion graphics sequences and established a flexible visual system that could be customized for each influencer, market, and language. Once the footage arrived, we integrated the live-action and motion elements, using VFX to make the creators interact with the graphics and environments in unexpected ways.

That included extensive rotoscoping of green-screen footage to create moments where creators appeared to pop out of a phone, step into a phone, and interact with the animated world around them. At the same time, we adapted the motion sequences across multiple versions while maintaining consistency with TikTok’s visual identity.

The result was a fast-moving production pipeline that allowed us to deliver highly customized social content at scale—balancing creative ambition with the realities of tight deadlines, multiple markets, and platform-specific requirements.
